SAFETY IS OUR CORE VALUE

At ECA, Safety is our number one core value. We are uncompromising in our commitment to the health and safety of all our stakeholders and community. We continually improve our processes, by demonstrating leadership, and promoting comprehensive safety. We require individual accountability, expect all employees to observe to our safety standards, and actively participate in and support the advancement of our health and safety practices. Safety is the responsibility of all employees, including both top management and the individual craft worker. The entire ECA Team is responsible for achieving Zero Accidents.

PROJECT SAFETY PLANNING

Providing safety leadership is a fundamental part of our business and we demand individual accountability. ECA is committed to being a leader in safety training and keeping our employees informed about the safety and health of our work as well as current safety issues, rules, and regulations.

SAFETY EVALUATIONS

East Coast Access implements a documented safety evaluation system, along with weekly safety meetings to ensure our compliance for regulatory and safety processes and procedures. All levels of the organization are expected to be involved in the execution of this program to use any observations to expand on our existing safety culture and improve our project performance. It is the policy of ECA to:

Provide a safe and healthy workplace for all stakeholders in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Encourage a positive attitude towards safety.
Institute safety and health goals for all levels of management and employees.
Protect and support company safety efforts by providing continual education for our craftsmen.
Require all employees to take responsibility and ownership for safety, by bringing the attitude that “I am individually responsible for safety” to the job each day.
Make certain that each employee understands that they have the responsibility to stop a job/task to prevent an unsafe incident from occurring.
Maintain compliance with all company safety, health, and security programs and practices.
Constantly evaluate and review safety and health programs, procedures, and practices to assure that they are effective and up to date.

JOINING THE TEAM

As our work force continues to grow, East Coast Access takes the initiative to ensure safety is communicated to all new team members. We provide orientation programs and training that cover East Coast Access expectations for safe work practices as well as review all company safety policies and procedures. Our implementation of human performance and a behavior-based safety culture equips our team members for success when they head into the field.
